I picked up a paintbrush almost as an escape, and for a while, florals were my entire world. I could disappear into painting them.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhen I moved back to the States, I started making hand-painted floral greeting cards and offering them to people on Facebook. They became surprisingly popular, and I think a little part of me started attaching expectations to flowers.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMaybe that’s why I struggle with them now.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe second I start painting a floral, the perfectionist in me gets loud.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIs this too abstract? \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDoes this actually look like a flower? \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eShould it be more realistic?\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDid I push it too far?
