INSPIRATION: Have you ever loved getting lost in a book, TV show, or movie? Growing up I loved reading at least a book a week. It was my way of jumping into a new reality during the awkward moments in school when we should have been socializing.

During the weekend, I'd use movies and TV to escape into new realities while at home, and now that I'm an adult, they're my preferred way to do so.

I love the world and lore of what George R.R. Martin created with Game of Thrones, and his new series House of the Dragon is no exception. When I started making this piece, I knew it was me interpreting the last season that I'd just finished (season 2), and that to me, this composition was what I'd see from above the magical world while riding a dragon.

About The Artist..

I'm Leah Nadeau, and I make abstract acrylic paintings shaped by three things I can't separate from how I see: a deep love of architecture, a film school education that taught me to see the world differently, and chromethesia, which means I see colors in my brain when I hear music. Each piece is an original, made slowly, one at a time, built to anchor a room and quietly change how it feels to be in it.

Rooted in Mid-Century Modern Design and themes of resilience and joy, my work becomes the focal point around which collectors build entire spaces.

Featured in Atomic Ranch Magazine, exhibited at Modernism Week, and permanently installed at the Henry Ford Health Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan.
