It’s Just a Spark, But It’s Enough
11 x 14 inches, acrylic and oil painting on paper in a black frame with a white mat, or unframed. The last photo is the color palette of the main colors in this painting in hopes of eliminating color discrepancies on screen.
Inspiration: On August 9th I saw one of my favorite bands, Paramore for the 3rd time live. One of my favorite songs by them is called Last Hope, which I've seen them perform twice now. The song's meaning is having faith in the one thing that keeps you going. For me, that has always been art. Since I began painting in a time of severe stress as a way to escape, it has been my lifeboat. Through the pandemic, through hard times like grief, break ups, and more art has been here to carry me through. In the darkness, art is the lit candle that allows me to see. "It's just a spark, but it's enough to keep me going"
