I’m excited to introduce The Golden Age, the newest print in my Infrastructure series. Like the other two prints in the collection, it’s a continuation of my love for architecture and the connections it represents.

This piece reflects my love for order and balance, which helps keep me grounded in my day-to-day life. I’m fascinated by how architecture blends art and engineering, bringing both structure and creativity into the world. To me, bridges symbolize connection and movement. They link not just places but people, showing human innovation in action. The Golden Age is my view of the world: structured, yet full of possibilities. Each print in this series stands strong on its own, but together, they tell a story of how art and architecture shape and connect us all. Collection: The Infrastructure Series (see the entire series here).

Meaning: 

 This series explores the fundamentals of my work, which focuses on depth, texture, composition and colors that bring it all together. I struggle with perfectionism and adding layer upon layer to make a compelling story, but I am finding that the most compelling story are the “bones” that make up each and every painting I make. 

 This painting is inspired by the Golden Age of American architecture. Buildings like the Fisher Building, The Masonic Temple and more were built during this period after architects in Chicago pioneered steel-framed construction. Beginning in the early 1880s, architectural pioneers of the Chicago School explored steel-frame construction and, in the 1890s, the use of large areas of plate glass. These were among the first modern skyscrapers. The series explores the backbone of America's infrastructure.
