Meaning: When I fly, I deliberately choose a window seat so I can study what the cities below look like. I'm always amazed at what I see, every single time. Recently, I flew from Portland to Palm Springs, and the differences I saw were vast. Above Portland was very industrial, and above Palm Springs was a vast desert surrounded by a lush oasis, mixed in with pools, lights, and nightlife. When I see aerial views, I always feel this sense of marvel and disbelief that I'm just one small part of humanity.
