Inspiration: Retro Disco was my first ever Mid- Century Modern inspired piece. For a long time, I had only used pink, purple, yellow, teal and gold in my work, because it felt safe. This was the first work I grabbed colors I had often thought about using, but was too afraid to. This painting set my career on fire.
