Inspiration: When I was a kid I was really into this Barney limited series called Imagination Island. The premise of the series is that these kids went into their closet at night instead of going to bed and they were transported to a tropical island where they could adventure with Barney and the other characters. I wanted so badly for this to happen- I wanted to be able to go into my closet, use a piece of jewelry as a type of turnkey and find myself suddenly on a pirate ship with Barney navigating the waters of Imagination Island.

I think I know why this series resonated with me so much, and I still think about it today. It was the first ever series I saw as a kid and really yearned to jump through the tv and escape. It was my first time experiencing escapism through TV consumption.
