Monet’s Garden

"Monet’s Garden" is a 16 x 16-inch original acrylic and oil painting on 1.5-inch thick birchwood. It's the same thickness as a gallery-wrapped canvas.  It has been sealed and varnished. It is sold unframed.

The last photo on the listing is the color palette of the main colors in this painting in hopes of eliminating color discrepancies on screen. 

Inspiration: When I was a kid I had a movie on VHS tape that I LOVED called Linnea in Monet’s Garden. It was a short animated movie about how a little girl who is obsessed with Monet's works goes to Giverny where he lived to learn about his life and art. It was the first time I ever saw an educational documentary on a famous artist's life and I remember it sparking something deep within me. 

Someday, I'd also love to go to France and see the place that inspired Claude Monet's most famous works. It's definitely on my bucket list. Until then, I will make works that feel like the water gardens that Monet called home.
