Space Elevator

This is an acrylic and oil pastel painting on paper 12 x 9 inches. It can come unframed or framed in black with a 1.5-inch white mat. Own the only original in existence. Once sold, this timeless masterpiece will never be available again.

Meaning: The Promise of a space elevator has always been interesting to me. When the idea was explained to me in high school, I had a hard time wrapping my head around it. Here's a small blub explaining it: A space elevator, also referred to as a space bridge, star ladder, and orbital lift, is a proposed type of planet-to-space transportation system.

To me, a space elevator sounds nearly impossible, so of course, when I went to make a painting, and these shapes came together, I thought OH! I know what this is! It's the theoretical space elevator. If we ever made one, of course, it would have advertisements on it like it was Times Square in NYC, right?
