"The Azure Window" Fine Art Print
Affectionately entitled, "The Azure Window", this premium Giclee print of my original painting is intended to be an ode to the iconic rock-formed arch near Malta that beautifully framed the Mediterranean sea. Unfortunately, it no longer exists after erosion caused it to crumble during storms in 2017.
My recent trip to this beautiful coastline was so captivating, as never before have I experienced such dark indigo blue waters. I came back inspired to recreate their luminous appeal with bold and free-flowing brush strokes that are punctuated with subtle arched imagery (reflective of days past), in this highly textured abstract piece. • Printed on thick (21-mil) heavy weight (310g) luxurious professional grade paper that resists yellowing and aging, using archival pigmented inks.
