Cold Press Watercolor paper: heavyweight and highly textured, excellent color quality. Comes hand numbered on the front out of 30 in pen, rolled in tube. It will need to be framed. 

Stretched Canvas and Framed Canvas: Ready to hang on your wall, with the sides lime green. Is numbered out of 30 with a certificate of authenticity, but not on the actual canvas due to shipping logistics. If you want it to come signed on the canvas as well as the certificate, please contact me directly; an extra shipping cost will be added. 

INSPIRATION: Carousel of Progress was inspired by becoming yourself again.

Lately, I have been looking through childhood photographs and feeling a deep sense of tenderness and grief for the girl I was before she learned to edit herself. That same tension has been appearing in my painting process. My earliest layers are often the most instinctive, playful, and vulnerable. Then I begin adding paint built to protect what is underneath.

In this piece, the first layers never fully disappear. They remain visible and vulnerable.

This painting is about realizing that progress is not always a straight line forward. Sometimes we circle back to the same memories, fears, and former versions of ourselves, seeing them differently each time. Sometimes embracing who we are means returning to who we were before the world told us to be smaller.

Most customers receive their artwork in about 10 days, although delivery may take up to two weeks depending on the destination.

How are the images of your original paintings captured?

Every print begins with a professional, high-resolution scan of my original painting, created by a local fine-art scanning company here in Portland, Oregon. I do not photograph my paintings with my phone.

This professional process captures the color, texture, brushwork, and smallest details of the original artwork, allowing it to be reproduced beautifully in a range of sizes.

How do I know what print size I need?

An easy way to visualize a size is to outline the dimensions on your wall using painter’s tape. This will show you exactly how much space the artwork will occupy before you order.

If you’re hanging the print above a sofa, bed, or credenza, the artwork generally looks best when it measures around two-thirds to three-quarters of the width of the furniture beneath it.

What are the different print options made from?

Fine-art paper prints are printed on high-quality, acid-free paper with a textured, velvety finish. They arrive unframed and will need to be placed in a frame for display.

Stretched canvas prints are printed on canvas stretched over an internal wooden frame. They arrive wired and ready to hang, even without an exterior decorative frame.

Framed canvas prints include the stretched canvas inside a float frame, creating a small space between the canvas and the frame for a finished, gallery-style appearance.

Do canvas prints need to be framed?

No. Stretched canvas prints arrive ready to hang and look great without an additional frame. A float frame is available if you would like a more finished, elevated look.
