Acrylic painting on canvas size 36 x 36 x 1.5 inches. The sides come painted dark green and it comes wired and ready to hang on your wall. The palette I used to create this painting is also included and would look amazing framed next to the painting. It’s in the last photo of the listing.

Inspiration:

This painting represents a moment of triumph—overcoming a tough and traumatic obstacle in my life. It celebrates how far I’ve come, especially in managing pain.

When I first came home from the hospital, I couldn’t even walk, and now I can paint with fewer limitations. That progress feels incredible.

I named this piece after the Pacific Northwest because it’s home to me now and a constant source of inspiration. Since returning, I’ve kept up with taking my dog on walks, even through the pain. It’s part of my healing process, both physically and emotionally. I admire the mountains and lush greenery around me—it’s so different from the ecosystem I grew up in, but being here feels good for my soul. The Pacific Northwest has my heart, and its beauty reminds me every day that I’m in the right place.

About The Artist

I’m Leah Nadeau, and I create original abstract paintings for people who want their homes to feel unmistakably like their own.

My work is shaped by architecture, midcentury modern design, my film school background, and synesthesia, which means I experience music as color. Every painting is made slowly, by hand, and one at a time.

Filled with color, joy, resilience, and a little weirdness, these paintings aren’t meant to disappear into the background. They become the piece you build the entire room around.

My work has been featured in Atomic Ranch Magazine, exhibited at Modernism Week in Palm Springs, and permanently installed at the Henry Ford Health Cancer Institute in Detroit.
