What makes this limited edition print so special? It exists because of the cumulative effect of saying YES over and over again. I said yes, even when it felt terrifying. “Palm Canyon Golden Hour” is inspired by my journey to Palm Springs, which was one of my “dream” art shows. It happened because I dared myself to apply, and then believed in myself enough to say YES when I was accepted.
After I said yes and made my down payment, I was like oh god what did I just do?! Now I have to get 25+ paintings from Oregon to California! Then I need to get myself there and figure out how to hang them all up. I had never done that before. I knew I wanted it, I just didn’t know how I was going to pull it off.
I learned so much on the way, during, and after. So I will keep saying yes, even when it’s terrifying. I hope this is just the beginning of art shows for me, because it was THRILLING.
