Original painting made from acrylic paint, 40 x 30 inches on gallery wrapped 1.5 inch thick canvas. 

Inspiration: I've always found it interesting when musical artists self-title an album. Usually, it's to introduce the band to the world, an introductory collection of works. However, my favorite use is when an artist or band uses a self-titled album when they can't come up with a name. 

For me, this piece is both of those things. Hi, welcome to a new chapter of Leah Nadeau originals, but also I can't think of anything more perfect than the name Self-Titled.

About The Artist

I’m Leah Nadeau, and I create original abstract paintings for people who want their homes to feel unmistakably like their own.

My work is shaped by architecture, midcentury modern design, my film school background, and synesthesia, which means I experience music as color. Every painting is made slowly, by hand, and one at a time.

Filled with color, joy, resilience, and a little weirdness, these paintings aren’t meant to disappear into the background. They become the piece you build the entire room around.

My work has been featured in Atomic Ranch Magazine, exhibited at Modernism Week in Palm Springs, and permanently installed at the Henry Ford Health Cancer Institute in Detroit.
