Recently I visited Portland for the first time and on the plane over I saw how industrial parts of the city is and it made me wonder about the backstory of Portland.
Industrialization has always fascinated me, because I try and imagine what the land was like before humans changed it. Even where I live right now in Seattle area didn’t exist 40 years ago, it was all farmland.
My friend Cody told me all about how Portland was industrialized and it lead me to do more research into how the city came to be.
