Up and Away is an archival acrylic painting, 36 inches tall by 36 inches wide on gallery wrapped 1.5 inch thick canvas.

Inspiration: When painting this, I couldn’t help but think of being in a hot air balloon over fields of blue and green flowers. I automatically thought of the song “Up, Up and Away” which is about a beautiful hot air balloon. I associate this song with an arcade game that was in the arcade on the Aberystwyth pier in Wales. That’s where I got my masters degree and going to the arcade was an every weekend activity for me. The arcade had this pinball machine that looped this song.
